Komodo Island is located in the southern part of Indonesia in East Nusa Tenggara province, there is a village called Labuan Bajo. Labuan Bajo is one of the 9 villages in Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The beauty of Labuan Bajo has become a very famous tourist destination abroad. Being a unique tourist destination, Labuan Bajo later became the capital of East Manggarai Regency with transportation facilities including docks, ports, and even an airport.

Historically, Labuan comes from the word port or a village used as an anchorage for people from the Bajo and Bugis tribes of South Sulawesi. In the end, this village came to be called Labuan Bajo.

Almost every inch of this region has beauty and unique places to visit. Labuan Bajo, a small island, connects all the beauty from beaches, sea, hills and green grasslands. There is also a unique village with an ancient culture that still exists today.

Komodo Island, Pink Beach, Manta Point, small islands such as Kanawa, Loh Liang are famous tourist attractions in Labuan Bajo, waterfalls and even caves are found in Labuan Bajo. Komodo Island is the most famous island because of the Komodo dragons and is home to more than 4,000 dragons and is made up of rusty-red volcanic hills, savannah and forests.

This Komodo animal is the only animal that survived after the eruption of Mount Krakatoa which caused a large tsunami. With its legendary existence, the Komodo dragon is one of the protected animals. In 1991 Komodo island was include on the Komodo National Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Komodo Island is also a popular destination for diving and it has been included in the New 7 Wonders of Nature list since November 11, 2011.

Apart from Komodo Island, what is also famous is the Pink Beach and Manta Point. Pink Beach is a beach with pink sand which has a very attractive and unique view one of only seven in the world. The sand appears pink because it is a mixture of white sand and red sand, formed from pieces of Foraminifera.

Manta Point is a statue at the bottom of one of the beaches in Labuan Bajo. This statue is a diving spot which is also unique.
